Reusable to-go Cold Cup

Over the weekend I bought a new product at Starbucks, a reusable to-go cold cup. It looks just like a Starbucks cold cup. It has the Starbucks logo, fill lines, and the drink marking boxes. It is complete with a reusable green straw. The straw is genius! It has a notch at the bottom so if your cup were to fall over (hopefully when not full with a lovely iced latte) the straw probably won’t fall out. The cup is even dishwasher safe.

I was thinking about the number one idea currently on the site, Recycling Cold Cups. This isn’t exactly a way for Starbucks stores to recycle the cold cups, but it gives us the cold coffee consumers a way to reuse a cup. I also noticed over 100 idea suggestions for a reusable cold cup. In response to your many ideas, Starbucks now offers this cool tumbler.

This summer I’ll be bringing my reusable cold cup with me for my coffee runs. Starbucks company-operated stores give you 10 cents off for bringing your cup too.

The cups are awesome I use mine EVERY Day!!!  Obviously they were a huge hit because we were sold out within two days each time they came in, I really hope Starbucks is planning on increasing production and "re-launching" them again next spring/summer.  (I would also like to see one in a Venti size too-an iced grande drink gets drank so quick!).

yah, venti sized all the WAY! I always drink a venti Iced coffee, I have the grande re-usable iced cup but a venti would be even better! We should even go a step farther and make them with a screw on dome lid for the frappucino buyers!

I agree I think a dome lid would be most impressive, we kind of already started the dome lid idea with the licensed store clearance merchandise we received and those 8oz kid cups with the dome lids and resuseable straws.  We just need them to look like Starbucks cups-that's what makes them sell!

I have a funny story about my reusable cup (well it is funny now).  I had made myself a drink and brought it with me when I went to "visit" other managers at one of our mall locations, well on my way out I stopped at the restroom and set my cup down.  When I was leaving I received a phone call and completely forgot about my empty cup that I set down on the ledge.  I had to make a stop at another store and about an hour after leaving the restroom at the mall I realized I FORGOT MY CUP!  I was devistated.  I drove back to the mall and went into the restroom and to my disappointment the cup was not on the ledge, but I had an idea and checked the (thankfully not too full) garbage can and THERE WAS MY CUP!  Someone actually threw it away thinking it was just a used cup!  So I happily have my cup back (and completely sanatized twice), but they are believable as Starbucks cups, but a lot more Earth friendly!

I bought 2 cups - good thing because no more were on order for any DC; and then a Barista dropped one of mine andcracked the seal - since there were none on hand I get no replacement.

I am SOOOOO disappointed that someone did not watch the sales spike and get more product in the stores for July, August and September - and what about hot zones who sell more blended all year around???? Not only would it have given a HUGE boost to Merch sales, it HELPS SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT by creating less waste.

Someone in Procurement is way behind the ball here; these are now selling for over $40 on Ebay.

The White 16oz handled "to go" cup was moved to Core almost immediately (and 2 other sizes added) - WHY DO WE NOT HAVE BOTH SIZES OF THESE REALLY POPULAR ITEMS IN THE STORES??? Our customers love them, we love them, what is going on? Instead I see a ton of odd ball merch that looks like a garage sale instead of appropriate stock of fast movers - the merch selection looks very dis-jointed right now.

To add to the disappointment, this site says these cups are "launched" - great! But where are they now? Obviously people still want more because both sites are still posting for them. Do you know that stores actually have WAITING LISTS for this cup? When have we ever sold anything that generated a waiting list?

Sorry, but this one was not rocket science - PLEASE BRING BACK THE TO GO COLD CUP!!!

I have to agree!!  These cups didn't even make it to the shelving units before they sold out!! (customers as well as employees were swiping them right out of the box.)  LITERALLY not one made it to the shelves in either of the two shipments OF SIX that we recieved. ( SIX? WHY SIX? WE NEEDED MORE!!) I wanted to buy a couple more cups because EVERYONE who sees mine wants one of their own.

These should be a STAPLE in our stores.  We are all joking with eachother at our store that if you bring your cup to work, it better have your name ENGRAVED on it or it's fair game.  :)

PLEASE BRING THESE BACK and offer them in a venti size as well.  Holiday time would be perfect as they would make excellent little gifts for family, friends, and teachers with a starbucks card included.

Its funny you guys say bring on the Venti cups, because the one I have is a Venti size.  And like you, I was very excited to find it, though it was kind of an accident.....they had just barely put them out when I happened to get there. Well I picked one up and took it to the counter, and there wasn't a price on it so the cashier asked the manager how much, and the manager said "Oh, those aren't supposed to even be out." So judging by what has been said here, maybe she wasn't even going to put them out. But I did get mine at least. And I know I certainly haven't seen any since, anywhere.

But I do love mine. ::D And I do wish they would come back out with them because I would like a couple of more.

Where do I get this cup? I've never seen it at any of my local stores in San Francisco. Is it discontinued? I hope not!

This does not belong under "Launched". The cups as other have said are no longer available and only partners bought them in the stores they showed up at. Please follow-up on these posts so that you can have some credibility! If the product is gone for good have the guts to say so!!!

Yes, please bring these back.  I saw them at one store, but I have yet to find any more.  I would just take any kind of Venti reusable cup to be honest.

I bought the 3 cold cups I found and the other day I was sooooo sad.  I was with my friend and put it on top of the car.  Needless to say I was an airhead and forgot I put it up there and catastrophe happened.  It did not survive (other than the straw).  So SAD. Please Starbucks bring back the cold cup in mass quantities and both grande and venti sizes.  The cup works for everything!!!!!

Yes, I agree.  I've been looking for the Venti resusable cold cups and cannot find them anywhere.  Please bring these back ASAP.

PLEASE BRING THESE BACK--AND ADD REUSABLE HOT CUPS!

Enough of us love Starbucks we actually like the logo disposable cups we get in stores (and the dribble/design thing isn't an issue like the current tumblers b/c the disposable design obviously keeps people coming back for more).

Solution: Design one line of mugs, exactly like the standard ones used in stores, and do it in three sizes (tall, grande, and venti) so that customers can select the one they traditionally drink on a daily basis.

This way, Starbucks won't lose out on the additional PR they get from people carrying around their logo as they sip on their drink, and you won't get as many complaints about how difficult it is to sip or drink from it...or order it in stores.

I'd love to buy this <3

I lOVE My cold cup! The store I went to ran out of Venti's as soon as they got them, so I snatched up one of the few grande's they had left.

Although my hard plastic green straw is bending, I need a new one?! Wonder where I can get extras!

Well - Ya know - I loved my cup too until someone stole it. Right from my table can you belive that?  Now I can't find another one and am so sad.  The only place to get one is EBAY for $80.  what's up with that?  If anyone knows where I can get one, I would be eternally grateful.  Thank you.

I have been trying to buy one for months.  None of the Starbucks in my area have them.  I want a Venti, but settled for a Grande that I found in NYC.  I am going to continue looking!

I cannot seem to find these anywhere!  I check everytime I am in a Starbucks and still can't find one.
