I’ve seen some ideas on the site about Starbucks adding coffee roasters to our stores. That would be so cool, to be able to walk in and smell the coffee roasting, see the chestnut brown beans pour into the cooling tray, and hear the pop of the transformed green bean - then be able to scoop your freshly roasted coffee to take home would be true icing on the cake. The flavor of freshly roasted coffee is available thanks to our great flavorlock packaging, but alas the roaster experience is not available at our stores in part due to cost and building codes.
