Ideas In Action, Version 2

If you are a regular visitor to this page you may notice a number of new features this week on the Idea in Action blog page.

This revamped page has the following enhancements:

  • New blog post filter (the “Napkin”)—filters blog posts according to how they are tagged - as “Launched”, Under Review”, etc.
  • The “Most Popular” tag cloud—filters by concepts with the most entries on this blog
  • Category counts—shows how many entries on this page fall under a specific category
  • Specific URL for each entry
  • Inline commenting on each idea—new or old
  • RSS on blog entries

With these enhancements, you can quickly find the most relevant discussions about big issues like bold coffee or recycling.  This new page will give us the chance to go deeper in our discussions and make it easier for you to locate the latest information on the topics you care about the most.

Please let us know what you think about these changes. Other major revisions are coming soon.

Excellent changes Matt!! Thank you! :-) You have no idea how happy I am to have direct links to a specific blog entry. Now if only there were a way to post urls into mystarbucksidea.com idea-threads using url tags. (I mean basically to make clickable links).

Good work MSI team and Matt.

You did however overlook the most important change needed - grand Idea totals for repeat/similar posts within and across all categories.

Please remember that categories are only meaningful to Starbucks. We customers are only interested in grand totals for Ideas within and across all categories. Without this feature this site is totally useless to most users. I pointed this out in a March post and have often repeated it.

Without grand totals we have nothing to gauge the performance of Starbucks management to the stated desires of their customers.

Please listen and ACT! Keep this site relevant.
