Hi there! My name is Nancy and I work on the Starbucks Online and Content team.
One of the themes we see most often on My Starbucks Idea is the notion of helping people come together as a community. Ideas as diverse as "Great Conversations", "Bring it Home" or even "Game Night", all have the same common thread of a desire to use relevant, local community building.
We are actively working on finding ways to implement these ideas in our physical stores. But we also have found a way to help the community bond together in a virtual space as well.
It is for that reason that we have just launched our new virtual stores on Starbucks V2V (volunteer-to-volunteer) our social network with a purpose! Here, you will find a "virtual store" for every single Starbucks location around the world! These flexible spaces allow the local community to come together and participate in actions that this particular community cares about.
Once you register on V2V, you can join your specific store and start creating and participating in actions such as cheer parties, coffee seminars, book clubs, walks for a cause, parks clean-ups and anything else you're passionate about. You can also help define how your virtual store looks and feels.
