GOOD Sheet #005 – Education

Today the fifth GOOD sheet arrives at Starbucks.  This week’s topic is Education.  Join the conversation at www.starbucks.com.

GOOD sheets were introduced at Starbucks on September 11.  Every Thursday a new topic is presented.  Past topics have included Gas Prices, Immigration, Health Care, and Carbon Emissions.  Next week’s topic is The Economy.

Have the GOOD sheets stirred conversation?  Tell us…

I go in......order my venti bold with room......pick up GOOD sheet and there is no conversation from any partner. None.

What a joke! I agree with Momiji - these sheets are only evidence of what a pathetic company you are.

Look at all that is going on in the world - news, politics, financials. Show some leadership Starbucks - you're worse than both of the political candidates!

Neither of the stores I visited today or yesterday had them.

Sorry guys, you struck out with this. Total waste of time and effort (and money). No one is discussing other than how much of a waste they are.

I will agree... Good sheet isn't getting enough explosure from employee or customers.   It's not going to get any conversation started.  It's only going to be newspaper like waste being throw around in the store.  BTW, usually stores already have NY times which is much more deeper and thoughful than GOOD sheets.

This just isn't going to work! Sorry

dummest idea of the year! Too artificial a concept. I'd rather enjoy a Starbucks featured program dealing with meaningful issues. Sorry but you just can't expect your customers to be praising an idea as boring as GOOD sheets. C'mon Starbucks, you know way better than this!

i dont want to talk to anyone about them so im good with that, but it is nice to have something if there is a line i choose to wait in to get my am coffee. plus there are many people who just dont have the facts, and they shoudl especially since this is for the election. and people   need to be INFORMED.

For all the Starbucks locations I have visited since the release of the GOOD sheet (around five or six), not one store has had any available. Only one store had the paper stand for it, but none were left. There is not point in having GOOD sheets if the stores don't have any. Even though this seems like a good thing to glance in line, it doesn't sound like a conversation starter to me.

Wow, everyone is really negative about the Good Sheets. I, for one, really like them. They are a quick little read and I've found them to be very interesting!

I really liked the voting Good sheet, with the stars showing how close elections have been.  Very nicely designed.  The negative comments on here are odd, given they are free... and you don't have to take one!

Hi everyone.  I'm happy to report that today we have announced an agreement to support The Alcove with Mark Molaro.  This was one of the specific examples of how you wanted "Great Conversations" at Starbucks.  Click for details:

EMPIREKIK:  this was the interview show you were asking about.

I know I am late to the game here to comment, but I picked up a GOOD sheet a month or two ago and found it so interesting that I read the whole thing and then took it to work and showed it to numerous coworkers. We all commented on the little paper, read it and passed it around. Granted -- I didn't talk about it AT Starbucks, but it was read by more than me and discussed. I liked it so much that I returned the other day and couldn't find the GOOD sheets anymore. Have they been discontinued? I don't completely disagree with the comments above -- if the sheet is intended to foster discussion and communication WITHIN the store or between employees and customers, that didn't happen. And frankly, I don't go to Starbucks to talk to strangers at other tables. I go to put in my iPod, read or use my laptop, alone. Anyways, just wanted to give you some different feedback on how the sheet was used.
