Join us for Tea @ Two

Tuesday, January 13 @ 2:00 is tea time at Starbucks.  All company-operated stores will be sampling the new Tazo® Tea Lattes and Tea Infusions along with some tasty food.

Tazo® Tea Lattes
• Black Tea Latte. It’s a blend of black teas from India and Sri Lanka combined with freshly steamed milk and sweetened to perfection.
• London Fog Tea Latte, a blend of Earl Grey (the traditional bergamot-scented black tea) accented with a hint of French lavender, sweetened with vanilla and combined with steamed milk.
• Vanilla Rooibos Tea Latte, a tantalizing elixir of South African caffeine-free  rooibos (sometimes called “red tea”), Tahitian vanilla, apple and peach pieces and a mix of naturally sweet herbs and spices.

All of these new Tea Lattes are made with some of the finest full leaf teas and herbs to be found on this planet and each can be steeped and sweetened to taste.

Tazo® Tea Infusions
Infusions are a combination of our chai tea base and either apple juice or sweet and luscious aronia berry (which tastes like cranberry) and black current juice blend.

 Apple Chai Tea Infusion
• Berry Chai Tea Infusion

Tea samples are limited to one product sample per customer while supplies last.

What a great idea! Too bad, I am unavailable. I'll be sure to pass the word.

I've already had most of these. Surprising the Infusions contain more calories than a soy caramel macchiato! Darn fructose.

Do these come sweetened? Just curious as I'm normally a sugar free gal :)

As a diabetic I hope 'sweetened to perfection' here means naturally or without sugar. A good cup of tea is easily ruined by too much sweetening (tea is delicate stuff) so I'm looking forward to trying these out in the UK and see how they stack up against a regular cuppa!

I've tried all 3 Tea Lattes and 2 Tea Infusions so I figure I will share my experience:

-If you want low sugar Tea Latte, the Black Tea has the least sweetener, and it also tastes great if you request no-sugar added (2 out of 5 drinks I  received Black Tea with no sweetener, simply because the Barista didn't know it originally comes sweetened).

-If you want something stronger than Black Tea, you may choose the London Fog Tea, for a very similar taste of Earl Grey by itself as a tea drink.

-The Vanilla Roobios Tea has VERY strong spices; you might want to ease yourself in with Black Tea and London Fog Tea before getting a Vanilla Roobios.

-Apple Chai Tea and Berry Chai Tea, if you enjoy any Chai drink, you will like them. Try both steamy hot and iced cold.

One sample of each product or do we have to pick only one to try? That'll be hard.

adamsieff  and Watty- the teas can be personalized.  You can ask for them without syrup added or request a sugar-free syrup.

It's 2:15 am and I'm in my local Starbucks and, unfortunately, no one told them about this promotion which is extremely awkward for both me and them.

Just went and they had no clue of this promotion.

I should have added that even though they didn't know about it, they gave me a sample for me and one for my kids to share.

I got the Black Tea Latte and my kids shared a Vanilla Rooibos.

Yet another promotion that local stores were not prepared for. No tea samples. No food. How about a do over?

I also went yesterday and the samples were late and there was no food. At first they were not sure what to do as well.

make it a tea experience - already love tea in a teapot - how about serving some teacakes and other standard English or other traditional teatime fare.

I was under the impression that all company stores would be taking part in this promotion. When I went to my local Starbucks at 2:30pm, there were no samples of any kind and no one knew about the promotion.  Very disappointing.

Have tried all the new teas....the only one I did not care for was the Vanilla Rooibus. All the others are GREAT!

gc1991,

With all due respect, I do enjoy some of the teas, except the bitter fruity ones.  Please read my short blog in response to Mr. Shultz's announcement regarding the new instant coffee. Many of my co-workers and I are concerned that all the efforts towards new drinks will only add to the downturn.  Our  idea is that Starbucks temporarily LOWER PRICES on all our favorite drinks that made you successful to begin with.  This will show fans how much you care about us and our dedication to what we love.  Starbucks has many loyal fans who simply have had to cut way back on our favorite "splurge" drinks because they ARE $3-$5 (you know, we like all the fancy ones) .  Please read our thoughts. Thanks.
