New Idea Partner – in Canada

Hi, my name is Charisma, a new moderator on MSI.  I work in Partner Resources and I’ve been with Starbucks for 5 ½ years.  I live and work in Vancouver, Canada so I keep my eyes open for any Canada partner and customer ideas.  I primarily look at the “our partners” section of the site since those generally relate to my role at Starbucks, but I’ll do a search for other Canada ideas too here and there.  I look forward to hearing your ideas…”

Hi - it would be great after the recent allergy incident in Canada if Starbucks could be more attentive to severe life threatening allergies - NUTS!  There are many great nut-free food producers that I bet would love to partner up with you.

I'm contacting you to provide assistance to one of your continuing problems associated with your one time use coffee cups.  My solution is a reuse and does not change your cups in any way.  My five stage approach would be cheap to put into effect, reward your customers, change public opinion, assist the environment and offer a pioneering campaign which would be seen as revolutionary.  Your customers would be the participants of your ideas which would be beneficial to themselves and the environment. I would prefer not to go on your blog, but to introduce the idea on a more personal level.

Good morning Charisma -

It seems to me that store traffic patterns are different in Canada then in the States, e.g., early Sunday mornings appear to be a slow time in Montreal. To increase store traffic during these slow periods why not resurrect  an old idea and that is to have each stores sponsor a game tornament; e,g, Monopoly Hear and Now (where Starbucks is one of the featured properties). The tournament play should last only say from 7:00 - 9:00 AM on Sunday mornings, but it recurs every Sunday. Games in progres are suspended until the next Sunday. Keep your prices the same during the tournament, but the top three finishers get Starbucks cards of varying value. The winners from each store can then be invited to play in a citywide contest. A promotional tie-in with Parker Brothers is a natural, but there are other co-branding opportunities as well. Just a thought...

Hello Starbucks Canada,

I was really disappointed that the Chipotle Chicken Wraps Bistro Box was discontinued here.  Any chance Starbuck's will bring these Bistro Boxes back to Canada?  The Goat Cheese and Garden Veggies Bistro Box they have in the US looks good too.

Thanks!
