Morning Joe & Starbucks

Calling all early-birds!  If you were up early this morning you might have caught a glimpse of Howard Schultz on MSNBC’s morning news program “Morning Joe”.  Howard was a guest on the show to announce Starbucks new alliance with the news program.  This is an exciting way for Starbucks to be a part of your day by combining your morning coffee with informed, insightful discussions and important news topics of the day.  If you missed it or want to learn more, you can watch today’s segment on the Morning Joe website (here).

We hope you enjoy “Morning Joe – Brewed by Starbucks” and look forward to reading your comments below.

Thanks!

Why did Starbucks choose to partner with MSNBC and not Fox & Friends? That show and news outlet have three times the viewership of MSNBC.

Greetings:

Today, I posted my thoughts about Starbucks partnering with MSNBC'S ,

MORNING, JOE SHOW but posted it on this site, under the heading,

Social Responsibility. It seemed a most appropriate place.

Please check out my comments there.

A quick summary is:

You have lost a fan, a daily customer.

How foolish of you to put your name on this show which

never provides news of the day unless you are willing and

able to sit for 3 hours and then only to learn a few tidbits

of news and have a cold cup of Starbucks.

The panelist were giving you free promos by drinking

your products. You didn't need to stamp your name onto

the show.

So sorry you did.

I have always viewed Starbucks as a socially responsible company and I think that sponsoring the "Morning Joe Show" goes against that premise.  As a regular, every-morning customer, I really do not like the thought of my purchases sponsoring this so-called  "news program".  If you are going to sponsor this kind of  "news program",  I would rather have my money spent on the best,  "The Colbert Report".

It breaks my heart that Starbuck is supporting this right-wing homophobe to the tune of more than 10 million dollars. I always thought that Starbucks was a compassionate and progressive company. Now you are funding hate speech.

I understand that there is talk of a gay botcott on Starbucks. This would be so disappointing, since I love my West Hollywood Starbucks. But I won't help to fund this kind of hate speech, not to mention just plain bad television.

I'm also asking everyone to use Twitter, Facebook and any other method you can to get the word out about Howard Schultz/Starbuck's deal with the devil. Urge your friends to let Starbucks know how you feel about "Morning Joe," one of the worst "news" shows outside of Fox News.

Drop the Morning Joe Show is way too right wing.   I don't want to buy product that supports that level of conservative thinking.  You're better off going with Colbert!

Wow this partnership seems to annoy and vex a lot of people! I don't see it as such a huge deal. Whenever a large corporation pays for product placement, I don't expect that that means that the corporation is endorsing the views of the program or movie.  It's just another form of product placement. And I doubt that Starbucks could do ANY product placement that wouldn't anger someone.  Even the Good Sheets bothered some customers. I'd just let this one go:  This doesn't mean that Starbucks has suddenly adopted a political ideology the same as the views on the Morning Joe.

Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. I haven't been back inside a store since I found out about this. You lost a customer who was routinely in the store AT LEAST twice a day. I refuse to support Joe Scarborough's political agenda. This was a fantastically bad idea.

Thank your for responding to my message. i have a few questions about  starbucks. 1. The current cups used by starbucks are they  all recyclable?

2.Is there any problem associated with starbucks not using recyclabe cups?

                       3. If there is a problem how will starbucks go about making solutions to solving this problem.

thank you for your cooperation and please leave comments. or email answers ramone_handy@hotmail.com
