I can't make it through the day without at least one Whole Milk Vanilla latte with extra vanilla, and whipped cream...YUMMY.  I have three different stores that I frequent and they all know my preference and they automatically make my drink!  LOVE IT.

Congratulations Starbucks!  I've been a lover of Starbucks for 12 years now.  While I enjoy the coffee immensely, I must say part of the experience is enjoying your Baristas.  I'm usually greeted by name, they already know my favorite coffee drink,  good conversation and always friendly service.  THAT is always a recipe for success.  Keep up the good work.

My husband and I are huge fans!!!!  Congrats on making #1 but really, there is no real competition : )  We even make it our special secret date spot on occasion for a break away from the kids to enjoy a seconds on the yummy goodness.

Congratulations to Starbucks for being number one. Starbucks has the best coffee and no other coffee can compare to it. Keep up the great work. Starbucks coffee starts my day and ends my day.

I always order a double short, dry, breva cappachino at Starbucks. Nobody makes it better. My coffee I make at home is Starbucks Pike Place Roast. It is a hardy coffee, but not bitter.

Thanks, DLM

The 56th & Summitview Yakima WA staff is wonderful, true ambassadors for Starbucks.  It sure would be nice to have all those wonderful breakfasts everyone is crowing about but we only get oatmeal here.  Of course, since Starbucks dropped decaf, our three favorite flavorings and lemon for our tea we seem to be going less.

Is anyone else disappointed in the current flavoring choices for our lattes?

I would love it if the prices for drinks were better as you guys are putting a hole in my pocket! But thank you for allowing me a place to work and relax (even though the music can be blaring at times!).

Congratulations on a well deserved rating.   I really enjoy the coffees in all types.

I really like the Drive-thru Starbucks.   Wish there were more available.

Tried the breakfast cereal.  Wow!  It was great.

I'm happy that you can almost always find a Starbucks.  Sometimes you just need one!  Just yesterday I got a good report at the doctor and while driving home, told my daughter I had a prescription for Starbucks and we made a quick turn into a nearby one.  It made our day!

A BIG Thank You for bringing the Dark Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers back.  I've got my nieces and friends  "hooked" on them and use the "boxed set" all the name for pick-me-up gifts.  It works!!  Really missed them at Holiday time when they weren't available.  Would really like to request "Discontinued" notices on items or coffee drinks that you decide not to carry anymore so I can "plan"!   Thanks!

I am an avid starbucks drinker now-a-days. There is nothing better than a venti passion lemonade ice tea sweetened or a grande java chip frappacino with peppermint and no whip cream. I used to love the little vanilla scone but they changed them and now they are very gross. But other than that starbucks keeps me going through all my classes!

Two coworkers and I first tried Starbuck's while on a business trip in Seattle before you branched out and became famous.  Even though we found ourselves at the litte shop every morning and at every conference break, all three of us agreed that a shop serving only coffee and a few pastries would NEVER make it in Houston, TX....

I can't believe I just admitted that.  In writing.   OK, since I'm feelng so honest, I also didn't think a place serving a fried piece of chicken with 3 pickles on a bun would ever make it either.  I'm heading there now.

Although your products are great, you have a long way to go on customer service. In the busier shops, you need point-of-sale systems for the customers. Case in point: I tell the cash register person what I want, she asks me to repeat it, she keys it in. She collects the money, she tells one barista to make a coffee product and tells an assistant to get a danish. One of these people doesn't hear or is doing something else, so either she tells them again or I have to repeat my order. I get my danish, but have to wait for the coffee product. When it is ready, it's a 50:50 chance that someone else will pick it up before me. Sure, they'll make another one, but wouldn't you rather fix this system first?

(I haven't even brought up the fact that some lines lead out the door as most stores only have 2 registers. You're losing customers.

Come on, start leading from the front -- get a POS in these stores now.

Yes - the coffee and service are great... But, 2 comments:

1. Dark roast should be available all day, everywhere. I travel a lot and some airports have only Pike Place - even in the morning - what's up with that???

2. Make the Gold (Black) card do it all. silly to have to pull out 2 registed cards to get the various credits/discounts.

Starbucks ROCKS!  Congratulations!  There are many out there that try to be equals, but to me, there is no comparison.  Fast food?  Not really, other than sandwishes are already made, salads too, but everything is definitely a lot more healthy and fresh.  Of course, they have decadent desserts.

I love the atmosphere of their coffee houses when I have time to stop and relax because you can do just that - relax.  They are quick on their toes when you need the drive-thru.  What really gets me is that no matter which one I stop at, they always make what I ask for and at the correct temp.  And when I have to do a road trip, I always purchase a case of double-shots because some of the areas I get to are not updated yet.  That way I'm never without.  AMEN!

Starbucks really does a great job of bringing the best coffees and teas to the masses.  Truly wonderful.  Thank you so much.

Forever Yours,

Angie

If you stopped serving Pike Place, which is #2 in the truest meaning of that term, you'd really be #1 in my book.

I refuse to pay for Pike and have walked out many times when your servers have refused to brew a decent cup of non-Pike coffee.

Not only does Starbucks have the best coffee, but they have the best total experience.  There's nothing like the feeling of walking into a Starbucks.  The employees are so friendly and helpful and each morning it's like going home as I walk in, even if it's a Starbucks I've never been to before.

Congrats.....BUT.

If you keep closing stores where I live, I will be drinking someone else's coffee! Also, there are stores that only serve Pike's Place now, which is bland and boring. You always need a bold morning pick for your customers who love variety (Gold Coast! Verona!) and a stronger coffee. Don't forget your core customers.

6/11/2009 10:31 AM

Congrats on being #1!  I do hope, though, that this success won't go to your collective corporate heads. I hope you'll stop mucking around with the *other* beverages/products you provide. I speak specifically of the Vivanno Banana Mango Protein drink. You've changed the formula and the flavor is weak. You had a great product and you made it less appealing. Why change it? If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT! This goes for the pastries, as well. In my region Western NY, specifically Rochester), you'e discontinued the sugar cookies as well as the WONDERFUL ginger molasses cookies. Why? I have found them in *other* areas (Midwest and in Canada), but can't get them here. I do love you products and your ethos, but I wish you'd leave a good thing ALONE!

Congratulations to Starbucks for being number one. We moved from Seattle  Taos NM 13 years ago as a Starbuck’s fan.  Our granddaughter is a Barista in Seattle. Congradulations Starbucks!  Many other restaurants/fast food places are trying to compete, but haven't come anywhere near the quality or taste in a Starbucks coffee. Personally, I think it's because they aren't taking the same kind of care in brewing and maintaining the coffee once it's brewed.  That extra care in the product makes it by far the best on the market.

My screen name reflects my life!  Starbucks is an experience I share with my husband and girlfriends.  It's part of our life.   Hanging out over dirty lattes, green unsweetened iced tea,  an americano, grabbing a bite to eat considering the nutritious selection, buying a pound of Sumatra, oh so many reasons we love Starbucks.  Can't quit it even if we could buy another house with what we spend there.  We all have gold cards to rationalize.   I bring my computer and catch up on work or email.   As a therapist, my take is that there's a sense of being part of a larger community, a way of connecting with people even when not interacting with others, something humans need.  By and large the baristas are engaging and eager to please.  At least that's my experience and observation.  Love the coffee.  I drink decaf and appreciate the flavor of the decaf selections.   I hope the company continues to prosper through these challenging times.  Thanks for your interest in our feedback.

I think that a company as big as Starbucks should be ashamed of the fact that the only difference between a Viente Cappucino & the next size down is that for the extra money that you pay for the Viente size drink is for more milk. both sizes mentioned have 3 shots of coffee. Want to save money? Order the Grande instead.  And I don't want to hear about just how much better the quality of Starbucks coffee is compared to others franchised coffee shops either.

6/11/2009 10:53 AM

I love Pike's Place coffee. I think that if you buy 5 lbs of it, you should get a price break like during the introduction of this product.  Buy 5 lbs for the price of 4.  Now it is $9.95/lb  or $49.75. Give us some incentive to buy more....thanks.

Growing up in Cuban community, my grandmother often took care of us over night. We'd have to get up really early 5:30 am because she had to be at work by 6:30 am. She'd take us onto porch with warm milk & a slip of Cuban coffee added in. Then we would watch for bird flocks swooping by and listen to sparrows sing. Starbucks provides a range of flavors and strenghts that I love. I can set whatever mood I want based on what I've preordered & keep in freezer after it is deliverd to my home. Bold, Columbian, Arabica, great decaf (just plain Starbucks) and medium strenght too. Coffe is part of my culture & my good memories. Variety is just part of my passionate lifestyle.

jagr 33 Try a latte plain. So relaxing. Or try something bolder than Americano, regular coffee. Arabica beans are less acidic to pallete and deeper in flavor. African beans best but I've found Verona is comparable in flavor & my husband likes it. He is anti BOld flavors.

Starbucks, try a soft to pallette Greek coffee blend. There's another good flavor for us robust to bold people that my Americano likes brewed. (sold by another online coffee company).

I have several comments, Michelle.

First, as an outside sales rep, I have no idea what I used to do without you guys! And thanks for teaming up with ATT Yahoo for wireless.

Second, as a cyclist, I want to tell you that you actually have a product brand that you don't know about! If you are familiar with banned substances on the pro tour, one of them is EPO, which is a performance enhancer. On our team, we refer to Starbucks Frappuccinos as FPO, because they deliver a performance boost...but it is totally legal.

Third, can you please have a stronger coffee option like the other Bay Area favorite Peets has...some of us really like the stronger coffee!

Last, I am on the organizing committee of the San Jose Livestrong Challenge and we really need a coffee sponsor...and would really like to have a mobile coffee van making FPO at the top of our biggest, toughest, and hottest climb. Can Starbucks help???

Thanks!!!!

I take $50 Starbucks credit gift card I can use without having too much cash on me, a woman, when I travel. Why? Starbucks in most airports and they have quality salads & sandwiches I can count on for decent food since I fly long distances and planes don't feed me. Give it a try. I can make a card last for 3-4 flights. It also allows me to buy employees or business contact coffee while looking SMART.

Need Starbucks grande every morning. Just got back from a cruise to Alaska and the only accessible Starbucks was in Skagway .it was like being at home. Friendly people but very sorry they could not accept my card. No problem.

Every Friday, I treat myself to a Pike Place across the street at the Hilton's Starbucks.  It's something that I look forward to all week long.  My total relaxation is a cup of Pike Place and a good crossword puzzle on my Friday lunch hour.

It's hard to drive to work without stopping and treating myself to my favorite Macchiato.  It makes my day so much better.  Especially the friendly greeting I get from the Baristas.  They are so kind.  I really appreciate their smiles and kind words to start my day.

C0ngratulations!!  The best part of my day is when I get my Starbucks on!!  My baristas at 'my' Starbucks-Las Vegas Premium Outlets- are simply, the best.  I can walk in, and I am greeted enthusiatically, they ask how my day is, and my coffee drink is made before I order it!  The staff there really are terrific!!

Starbucks continues to have the best coffee and service available.  I wouldn't choose another!

Please add a "Coffee Mate" a non dairy creamer, to all your stores.

Many people, including myself, are allergic to dairy products.

Soy milk just does not do it.
