Introducing Starbucks® Snack-Fulls

Hi Folks, it’s Katie here.  As you may know, I am a Registered Dietitian and most importantly, a new Mom.  From one parent to another, I am thrilled to announce the arrival of Starbucks® Snack-Fulls.

We’ve heard your request for nutritious kids options for the on-the-go parent.  You’ve asked for a fun, convenient meal or snack with fresh fruit, string cheese, and a little treat.  USDA’s MyPyramid recommends that kids “focus on fruits,” “make half your grains whole,” and “get calcium-rich foods.” We think we’ve put together the perfect pack that’s fun and delicious:

Starbucks® Snack-Fulls:

  • Organic Apple Slices
  • Box of Raisins
  • String Cheese
  • Annie’s Bunny Grahams – Organic & Whole Grain

Nutrients you can feel good about:

  • 270 calories (ideal for a small meal or substantial snack)
  • 45% of your daily calcium (calcium helps build strong bones)
  • 3g fiber (fiber helps you feel full longer)
  • 9g protein (protein promotes muscle development, benefits bone health and & helps you feel full longer)
  • All natural ingredients. No artificial flavors. No artificial dyes. No artificial trans fat. No artificial sweeteners.  No high fructose corn syrup.

Starbucks Snack-Fulls are available for $3.45 (+ applicable tax) in over 5,000 U.S. stores.

Cheers,
Katie

I know there have been a ton of (largely negative) posts about kids and Starbucks - regarding people not wanting kids in the stores. But I welcome the new option - my wife often stops at Starbucks with my daughter and there really is never any snacks we can get her. And the pastries are tempting!

I am a barista at starbucks and I give a big thumbs up to this because many of my daily customers have young children (under the age of 6) who come into starbucks and all that is really kid friendly are bananas, petite vanilla scones and madaline cookies. I think string cheese, grahman crackers, apple slices, etc are a great start to giving the children some options

You forgot about the protein though. Where's the protein?

How about some more vegan options?

what about healthy options for adults? i have to buy stuff aimed at kids to get healthy alternatives? that seems very one-sided and unfair to us childless adults.

This might be rather an odd place to post this - but I am trying to track down how I can speak with the employees that monitor and run the mystarbucksidea site and the blog.  I am interested in learning more about how the company used the site for turning ideas and customer feedback into a turnaround.  Can some one contact me directly?
