Have you seen our new cups?

Hi, all! It’s Lindsey from the (STARBUCKS)RED team again. I wanted to let you know about something special you may see in our stores leading up to Valentine’s Day on February 14th.

Beginning this week, participating U.S. Starbucks stores will serve hot beverages to customers in a limited-time cup – departing from our iconic white design – to celebrate a major milestone through our partnership with (RED)TM: With your help, Starbucks has generated funding for the Global Fund equivalent to more than 14 million days of medicine to help those living with HIV in Africa.

These limited-time cups feature “LOVE Drawings” submitted by customers to www.StarbucksLoveProject.com, a global site that launched over the holidays bringing people together from around the world for one purpose: Love. Now you can return to the site and create your own Valentine’s Day-inspired LOVE drawing. For every drawing submitted, we will make a contribution, up to one million submissions, to the Global Fund.  The contributions will build on the achievements through Starbucks partnership with (RED)TM by using the inspiration of love to help make a difference in the world.

By teaming with (RED)™, we are working together with customers, reaching out to the communities where our coffee is grown and helping to improve the lives of those living with HIV. Overall, (RED) partners and events have generated $140 million for the Global Fund to HIV/AIDS programs in Africa that have reached more than 5 million people.

In your own neighborhood, share the Valentine’s Day spirit by treating yourself and the ones you love with a Starbucks® Cinnamon Dolce Latte in the limited-design cups.  Wrap up this loveable day with the flavors of sweet cinnamon, butter and brown sugar, combined with our signature Espresso Roast.

Thank you so much for supporting (STARBUCKS)RED!

I went in to my local Starbuck's today and purchased a beverage which was in one of these cups.  I love the artwork (heart in heart) and would love to have this design but on an insulated cup.  Any possibility of this happening?

I got one today and thought they had run out of cups and someone decided to draw on plain white ones. It was not until I turned the cup that I saw what it was.

My daughter thought I didn't go to Starbucks. But really like the cup itself.

It is nice to not have the cup (a signature element of being at Starbucks) change over time. It feels more seasonal, timely and less cookie cutter - same. It is an interesting angle to pair with one of your charity activities - a nice way to expose that issue to customers.
