My role as a territory manager is to work with Food Service operators who offer the We Proudly Brew Starbucks program at various locations including hotels, hospitals, office buildings, resorts, colleges & universities, and Barnes & Noble too. Barnes & Noble is one of our early We Proudly Brew partners who have been offering many Starbucks® beverages at their store locations with Cafés for almost 20 years now. Treat Receipt is Back!

Today the treat receipt program returns for its third summer! You told us that you would like the treat receipt program to be extended, so this year the treat receipt will be around until October 4. Thanks for sharing and voting on this idea! How does the treat receipt work? If you make a purchase before 2 p.m. you can return the same day after 2 p.m. and enjoy any handcrafted Grande-size cold beverage for only two dollars (plus tax if applicable) with your receipt from your morning purchase. Coffee in barrels? I thought barrels are for grapes and wine, and coffee comes in burlap bags. But Jamaica Blue Mountain® breaks the mold, and this spring we were delighted to see barrels from Jamaica come into our cupping room. Right from the beginning, you know this coffee is something special. I’m excited to let you know that the Olive Way store in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle will be getting a remodel soon. We want to reflect the local character of the neighborhood we’re a part of and to deliver an authentic coffee house experience. When the store re-opens later this fall, the new design will not only represent a new level of story-telling, but will also be using some reclaimed & local materials as well as work from local artists. Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes with your food? I love TV cooking shows that take you behind the velvet ropes and show how your favorite foods are made. Here at Starbucks our partners behind the scenes work hard every day to bring you the tastiest food possible. Last summer, we removed artificial dyes, artificial flavors, artificial trans fat and high fructose corn syrup from our foods to deliver tastier items with simple recipes just like you can make at home. Our Chocolate Chunk Cookie recipe was improved to remove all that unnecessary stuff, but you let us know through customer comments and My Starbucks Idea that the new recipe wasn’t as delicious. Popcorn at Starbucks…who knew?

Rich, buttery popcorn always reminds me of the drive-in theater. (Oops, I guess I just gave away my age!) Big, brown grocery bag filled with freshly popped popcorn and dotted on the outside with the little greasy spots of buttery, deliciousness. Well, the drive-in is gone and sadly I no longer douse my popcorn in butter (wasn’t it great being a kid, when you didn’t care about things like that?) But thankfully, I still get to indulge in rich, tasty, fluffy popcorn. Starbucks now offers two popcorn flavors at participating stores in the U.S. and Canada.
