Classic Ice Cream Flavors, with a Starbucks Twist

Hello Ice Cream Lovers!

I’m Mary and I work in our Consumer Products Group on new products.  Summer's here and I'm so excited because it's time to enjoy my favorite summer rituals, like eating cool and creamy ice cream.

You’re probably familiar with our classic Starbucks® coffee ice creams like Java Chip Frappuccino®, Caramel Macchiato, and Coffee – all inspired by some of our most popular Starbucks beverages.  But you probably didn’t know that we have new flavors in classic ice cream flavors, all uniquely Starbucks and coffee-free.

What? Yep, you heard that right. We’re really excited about our three new coffee-free ice creams in classic ice cream flavors and inspired by some of our most popular coffee-free beverages.

Vanilla aficionados will love Vanilla Bean Frappuccino® for its creamy vanilla ice cream made from the finest, real Madagascar vanilla beans.  It’s a classic, elegant vanilla.

Signature Hot Chocolate is a new take on chocolate ice cream.  With velvety chocolate ice cream, smooth vanilla ice cream and a rich chocolate fudge swirl, it’s inspired by our delicious Starbucks® Hot Chocolate, but a tad colder and oh so delicious.

Ah, and what would summer be without the incredible Strawberries & Crème Frappuccino®?  Luscious strawberries are blended with rich and creamy Strawberry and Vanilla ice creams for an incredible new take on a summer favorite.  It’s a Limited Edition, so grab it while it’s here.

Check out starbucksicecream.com for more info.  I think you’ll agree that these are ice creams unlike any you’ve ever had before.  Try them and let me know what you think.

Two things-

one- why can't you reintroduce the low fat coffee ice cream?

two- when introducing these new ice creams, why didnt you offer the coupons through an email attachment or by snail mail rather than through the third party coupon site?

I tried the Vanilla Bean two weeks ago and was surprised at how good it was...

As for samples, my local store also stocked the 3.6 oz version for $1.  Who can beat that?

What do I have to do to get my free samples?  Is it like last year when you send out coupons for free pints?

I love the Strawberries and Creme frappucino ice cream. I bought one carton but have not been able to find it since.  I want to stock up before the edition is over.  Would you consider making it a permanent product?

@MacRat and kaye_c...there's a full line of 7 flavors that are all inspired by popular Sbux beverages.  We're highlighting the 3 new flavors that are coffee-free (Van Bean Frap, Sign Hot Chocolate and Strawberries & Creme Frap), and we also have 4 classic coffee flavors (Java Chip Frappuccino, Coffee, Mocha Frappuccino, and my personal favorite Caramel Macchiato).

@CafeChatelain

We’re so glad that you’re enjoying the Strawberries & Crème Frappuccino ice cream!  If you’re having trouble finding it in the store, we have a cool search feature at www.starbucksicecream.com  where you can identify grocery stores that carry a specific Starbucks ice cream in your zip code.  You’ll have your freezer full of Strawberries & Crème Frappuccino in no time!  Thx for the suggestion to keep it year-round.  I’d love to hear who else is interested in S&CF ice cream.

The flavors are pretty simple but they sound good so hopefully they taste good. =)

I highly reccommend that Starbucks try to create a Chai ice cream or Chai Shake. I've made them at home and it's a HUGE hit with my coffee and tea loving friends and family. Just heat up some milk, steep the tea in that, and use the flavored milk with vanilla ice cream to make a delicous cold chai treat! I even add some of the dreg to add texture & flavor. It's phenomenal!

I love the coffee ice creams you make! But  so love having ice cream with my coffee and I think you should have a small frozen case stocked with the small ice creams and the pint ice creams in the  coffee outlets . The other day I was sitting in Starbucks having my coffee and wishing since it was so hot out that I had  one of your small ice creams to enjoy with my coffee. I know that the ice cream freezers are not very expensive and could be presented right out in the aisle for impulse buy . Try it .

Mary,

We loved the Starbucks Classic Coffee Ice Cream but we are no longer able to get in our area.  It is the only coffee ice cream we care for.

We are able to get the small Starbucks ice creams but not the classic coffee.  If it was discontinued Stabucks has made a big mistake.  The stuff we are able to get now does not even come close to the Classic Coffee ice cream.  Any one who loves coffee ice cream and has tasted Starbucks  Classic Coffee will never be happy with anything else.  Nothing even comes close.   Grandma Dougie
