Starbucks Voted Best Coffee Again This Year!

Thanks to you Starbucks is recognized as the #1 Best Coffee and #1 Quick Refreshment Chain in the 2010 Zagat Survey® of National Chain Restaurants.  We’re honored that you have again selected Starbucks as the best coffee in the U.S.  We take pride in offering coffees from around the world that reflect both their unique characteristics and our commitment to seeking out the best coffee beans, and we want to thank you, our coffee buyers, coffee roasters, and baristas who all had a hand in making us the favorite coffee that we are today.

Last year you told us it is not just the quality coffee that makes us number one, but the store experience and the baristas.  We would love to hear your stories about your favorite Starbucks® coffee experiences.  Please chime in and continue to share your ideas with us on My Starbucks Idea.

There are no better employees than Starbucks folks!  Great service, friendly faces, and they make terrific babysitters too!!

My favorite year-round drink is an iced coffee with vanilla, no room.  I pick up my drink, sneak over to the counter, take three intensely long sips,  and gleefully add skim milk while I watch my coffee symphony.  The milk swirling down a venti iced coffee cup is a show stopper in itself.  Thank you for bringing this simple pleasure into my life almost everyday.  Love it!!

I was in Las Vegas at Luxor and came down to the lobby to get a cup of coffee while the girls were at the spa.  I took a sip and it burned my lips, tongue, and gums instantly and I spit it out all over the marble floor.  I went over to a bar and got some ice to put on it.  It took almost 2 weeks for it to heal.

I WILL NEVER GO TO STARBUCKS EVER AGAIN.  Thanks for trying to ruin a perfectly good Las Vegas vacation with 210 degree coffee.

My husband and I love to travel and when we do I always look for that familiar green and white logo that tells me my favorite drink and breakfast sandwich is nearby. Also, I get up everyday and go to the gym and I hate it. But, I go anyway because I know that as soon as my workout is finished, I go to my neighborhood Starbuck's and treat myself to a fabulous iced latte and it makes it all worthwhile.  Thank you for keeping me fit and healthy!

When we travel, I'm always on the lookout for a Starbucks. If I don't find one, I get "cranky". I love the new Via ready brew coffees, the decaf is great. I am now a proud Gold card carrier! :)

Congratulations Starbucks!  I have enjoyed your coffee for a long time.  Unfortunately I have had to start making it at home and not frequent the stores as much any longer.  I just can't swallow that Pikes Place swill, but love my home Starbucks (Houseblend or Summatra).

Congrats to everyone at Starbucks.  I really appreciate my local Starbucks in Collinsville IL.  Nice ambiance, friendly staff who know my order as soon as I pop in the door and we love to watch the sunset from the patio.  I notice when traveling that the bakery items are always the same high quality; I enjoy a sweet with my coffee.  I like the mix of music they play - something for everyone, even we seniors! Thanks for the occasional email coupons to Gold card members and in general keep up the good work!

I love the consistency of Starbuck's drinks. I travel for work and can always be assured that my skinny latte will be excellent every time in every state. Congratulations Starbucks.

I travel frequently between NW Arkansas and Dallas, and getting a Starbucks is one of the three "rituals" I have on my travel, including playing songs loudly, and being raised by a Federal Warren with the bureau of prisons, I wave to the "guests" in Springtown, OK, state prison as I pass by...don't know if they see me, but maybe they do, and my cup of java, too!

I keep getting sucked in by commercials of other coffees. But they are sooooo not Starbucks! Love my iced coffees!

I love Starabucks, but it really irks me that both a grande and vente latte have 2 shots of espresso.  There is obviously more milk in the vente, so 3 shots are NEEDED.  The cold drinks do it the right way.  I never order the vente simply because I'm not paying for an extra shot!!

The irony is that I don't even like coffee....I love Chai.  Love it.  I love Starbucks' Chai.  I do often make it at home, but there's something about going into Starbucks and treating myself to the real deal.  The employees are fantastic, the atmosphere is relaxing, and drink is superb.  Keep up the good work, Starbucks!

Congradulations!! You are the BEST in the West.  Starbucks, Marina del Rey, Ca., on Admiralty Way not only has GREAT COFFEE, GREAT SERVICE--which helps the coffee delcious taste, GREAT service--they work as a Team--A presion clock.  In addition, it's like walking into "Cheers"(the T.V. program), in other words--friendly, knows my drink.  Friendly, efficient, fast and helps make the day.

Keep up the Great Taste!!!!!

Starbucks is the Bomb!!! I love the whole treat reciept idea, however I'd like it even more if you'd just charge me an extra dollar for a Venti. Consider the happiness and the money you'd make.

I love my Starbucks!  I've even taught my 2 yr old to say Starbucks.  It's really cute.  When he sees the Starbucks logo sign he yells cafe'.  I love the "treat" receipt as well.  It is a little confusing though.  There's a Starbucks located in the Kroger grocery store near where I work and I bought a coffee before 2pm (it was noon) and the barista told me that I could not have my receipt since it was no longer morning when I asked for my "treat" receipt. It's a little confusing when the other stores will give me my  receipt when I ask for it.  Plus the receipts say prior to 2pm keep receipt and receive $2 cold bev after 2pm...I wonder how someone is suppose to know which stores stop giving the "treat" receipt at a particular time of day?

I love Starbucks lattes but unfortunately, I have to drink decaf and I have to get three shots because your regular grande with two shots is not strong enough.  Sometimes it tastes more like milk than coffee.  So, I have to spend an extra 70 cents every time and then of course, it is delicious.  If I don't, it tastes more like milk than coffee.  Can you do something about this?  Other coffee places, I only have to get 2 shots.

The reason I like Starbucks coffee is because it is the only chain coffee house that has SOY milk for any of its drinks.  I cannot have diary products and I appreciate greatly the fact that Starbucks recognizes "Different Stokes for Different Folks".

Thank you for letting me have my coffee my way!

Just returned from a ten day trip to Las Vegas, lots of Starbucks there.  At issue is the shops at two casinos/resorts, Rio and Red Rocks.  Both places seem to have a great amount of business, and after waiting in a 23 person line, I was not allowed to use my Starbucks giftt card to pay.  It was not accepted!  It could be bought there, although not accepted as payment.  That just is wrong!

Starbucking

It’s another day, another night, at the place where we go

when there is nowhere else.

And if you listen carefully, you will hear life, the stimulation that makes the world bright, softly inspiring through speakers, the words of beautiful poets strumming from acoustic guitars. And you will hear that which makes the world sad….a social worker heroically entertaining fearful young children,  taken from their home as she waits for the DCF to find them a safe place not to die. The children are so excited,  they can barley breath as they tell about the boy next door, how they love ice cream, and that they once went to a church carnival, their innocent eyes anxiously scanning hers hoping she is listening.

And you will see a divorced middle-aged mother with her 10 year old son. she lost her looks uncountable years ago and lost her imagination, so she ends-up here with me, not knowing what to do on a Friday night. So they sit, looking bored, the mother finally finding refuge in a game she is playing on her cell phone, finally coming to life telling her son that won.

I have never felt so much compassion for the human race as I do tonight and I am also grateful to Starbucks for giving me good music, poetry, internet access, excellent teas and a comfortable couch to lounge on as I dream, flirt, surf, and grow in my understanding for humanity.
