My Starbucks Idea's 100,000th Idea

Thank you everyone for sharing ideas here at MyStarbucksIdea.com.  This week we received our 100,000th idea – Introduce a Healthy Cookie posted by cecileatcecile.  In celebration of this milestone, we’re sending cecileatcecile a Starbucks Card loaded with $100.  We continue to look to you, the MSI community for inspiration and ways to make Starbucks a better experience for you.

What do you think of this idea?  MSI is a place to share ideas and build on other’s ideas.  We encourage you to look at the root of the idea.  Would you like to see a healthy cookie at Starbucks?  What do you think makes a cookie healthy?  Join the discussion.

Keep the ideas coming, we’re listening!

MSI congratulations on the milestone.

However, "selecting" a post that is in reality a commercial solicitation is not a way to promote MSI as a place to submit legitimate ideas.

100,000 posts with only a small percentage original ideas.

Time to bring order and professionalism to MSI and not let it continue to sink into the cesspool of the "social network" experiment.

Actually, a healthy cookie would be a delightful way to provide comfort accompanied by reasonable indulgence.

I see no harm in what could be perceived to be a "commercial solicitation" (as the previous post mentions) when it actually means that we coffee lovers get to have a special moment with friends that celebrates basic social needs - like having a darned cookie with your coffee even though you probably shouldn't.

So here are my healthy cookie suggestions:

Gluten free

Oatmeal (lots of it - great for heart health)

Cranberries (antioxidant)

They get a hundred down votes and by the comments no one likes it yet you send them $100.  Doesn't figure. Maybe because she has the same name as yours.

I remember you already had a healthy "cookie"...it was called berry stella and it was the best snack you've ever offered.  And it sold out all the time, so I'm still trying to figure out why you discontinued it.  Also, I love that you rewarded someone for an idea, but you chose the wrong one...it was clearly spam and got voted down numerous times.  Maybe you could've opted to chooose an actual idea, not someone self-promoting their business.

@ flukes I liked the berry stella too.  I didn't think of it as a cookie.  Perhaps we should revisit that product as a healthy cookie option?

If Starbucks hasn't figured out what is 'healthy' in over 20 years of selling cookies, does it really matter?  Starbucks didn't get to where they are by offering healthy food.  And, maybe the reason they succeeded is precisely because they didn't!

Well, you can please some of the people some of the time and... Kudos to Stabucks and this page for the community that supports it!

I am pro-healthy cookies added to the selection and as far as Dadcooks goes....look at American Idle...if we didn't root through the entries, we'd never find the "stars"   hmmm.....
