Players Find SRCH Image Hidden On Blog Post

On May 25, 2011, the third round of SRCH by Starbucks was launched. The clues were tough and players had to do quite a bit of digging to reach the end of the trial.

Undaunted by Morse code and hidden images scattered around Facebook, players made their way to an idea posted by SRCH on My Starbucks Idea. They then followed a link at the end of the idea to a hidden blog post. But the quest for the hidden SRCH image wasn’t over. Players had to have the presence of mind to realize they had to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the blog post to discover the hidden image.

When it was all said and done, the first 500 players to reach the end snatched up a $25 Starbucks eGift.

I don't understand how we were suppose to find this page without the link that was posted?  Even when I try to do a search on Starbucks, this page doesn't appear?!

i think since the link to get the gift card was posted on Twitter, Starbucks (to be fair) should compare the names of people claiming the prize to the names on each photo with the solution.  If they didn't post, or if they claimed the prize before solving anything, they shouldn't get it.  it's only fair, since those that DID solve it had no chance of winning once it was tweeted.

Thanks for playing.  All the egifts have been given out.  The next round is on 5/27.

People who tweet or discuss or otherwise share links to find the answer should be DQ'ed. Otherwise, this game is stupid. Love, Me.
