Hello again! We’ve had a busy few months and lots of mobile news to share. We recently released an application for Android phones and expanded mobile payment to Safeway locations . Well, that’s not all we’ve had up our sleeves. We’ve been carefully reviewing your requests for new features for our iPhone applications. Now we’re pleased to introduce an update to the myStarbucks application that includes a couple of your top requests. Starbucks Mobile Payment Expands to Safeway Locations!

We know you are excited about mobile payment and so are we! On June 15 we released our Starbucks for Android application which means we can now accept mobile payment in our company owned Starbucks stores and Target Starbucks locations from nearly 90% of smartphones! But why stop there? You’ve asked for more locations and we listened. Baristas at Safeway will begin accepting the Starbucks applications as payment in their Starbucks locations this summer! This includes Starbucks located inside Safeway, Vons, Pavilions, Dominick’s, Randalls, Tom Thumb and Genuardi’s stores. Use your Starbucks Card Mobile or Starbucks for Android store locator to find a store near you! Cheers!

The first time I ever visited Portland, Ore., was on a rainy Saturday afternoon in January about eight years ago. My stay was brief, permeated with chill and twilight, and I ended the trip with feelings of ambivalence.
