Beginning June 6, when you purchase a Frappuccino® blended beverage, your barista will hand you a free 10-Song Summer Mix playlist of our favorites, available for download on iTunes while supplies last.  Some of the artists may be familiar while others may be discoveries, but there's something for every summer  activity.

Death Cab for Cutie's breezy "Underneath the Sycamore" (U.S. only) may prompt you to pull out a blanket and basket and enjoy that Mocha Coconut Frappuccino® blended beverage picnic-style with a friend, while Parts & Labor's "Rest" will likely cause you to open the sunroof, crank the music and head for open road.  Booker T. Jones’s twist on "Just a Friend" (featuring the song’s writer, Biz Markie, as well as Sharon Jones, and the National's Matt Berninger) may spark a spontaneous dance party, so proceed with caution. Our friends We Are Augustines (former members of one of our  favorites of all time, Pela), will make you want to give your bicycle (or motorcycle, if singer Billy McCarthy has any say) a spin on a dusty country road.

this did not happen at my store yesterday, 6-6, when I DID purchase a frapp, among other things.  communication with the stores often seems to be ....not good enough!

Relax people. Go into your Starbucks and ask for the playlist, it's simple.

i got my card but i'm having issues downloading the music. it accepts the code but doesn't give me the option to download. anyone else having the same problem?

I am having the same issue. When I enter in the redeem code it just takes me back to the iTunes homepage. I tried it both on my laptop and iPad. What's the fix?

I have now tried a 2nd code card in the iTunes store from my pc and iPad and it's not working. I've even emailed customer service and no response. Do any of these codes even work? Maybe this was some kind of fake promotion. 10 free songs. I guess it was too good to be true.

This is one big SNAFU. I, too, have tried my codes and nothing has worked. It'd be nice for a "special promotion" for the "special" item to work. Perhaps Starbucks forgot to pay their iTunes bill. I'm guessing all the codes don't work. I want a free Frappuccino for having to buy an extra Frappuccino to see if the codes that came with each Frappuccino worked AND my free 10 songs. WA-BAM!

I purchased a frappucccino today (06/09/11) and had to ask twice for my Summer Mix card.  I have tried entering the code in the Redeem section of iTunes several times and nothing happens.  The first time a window opened saying it couldn't be processed at the time and to try later.  On subsequent attempts it just takes me back to the iTunes store homepage.  I received an email from Starbucks about this promotion and they need to send another email out when this issue is resolved.  C'mon Starbucks!  For the prices we pay, your customers deserve better service than this.

It sounds like the bug has been fixed.  We encourage you to try the download again if you had any issues earlier this week.

@pheyvaj - did you ask your barista for a card?  The store may be out.  The cards are only while supplies last.  They began handing out the cards on June 6.

I also purchased a Frappachino and did not get access to the play list.  There was no mention that you had to ask for a card to get the playlist.  I assumed that I would get an email with a link to get the playlist once I purchased the Frappachino as i know Starbucks would know when I made the pruchase using my gold card.  I had received notice of the promotion via an email as I am  Gold Rewards member.  The email also did not explain how one would get the play list.

we bought 2 frappachinnos on saturday and wasnt even offered the playlists, didnt know that we had to ask for them there, now what?? How are we suppose to get it?

I bought a Caramel Frappachino today and didn't get a playlist- no one even brought it up, and a giant sign behind the cashier said "10 Free Songs with a purchase of a frappuchino" (included in the picture was the caramel frappuchino, which I just bought)

hey I just tried it on my iPhone 4 & it worked!!!!!!

I had just tried it on my PowerBook G4 & it didn't recognize it (c above post), then I remembered that I could also try to redeem it thru my iPhone.

(I haven't update my old iTunes 10.2 software because I need more memory so maybe that has something to do w/ it...)
