Tumblers Made in the U.S.A.

Have you seen our Made Greener Tumblers? Manufactured in the United States, these tumblers help keep jobs local. Production of the Made Greener tumblers has created 14 full-time positions with the manufacturer.

They’re also made with the environment in mind. 35% of the Made Greener tumbler – the inner wall and the lid – is made from 100% post-consumer recycled polypropylene plastic, reducing the amount of nonrenewable fossil fuels used to make new plastic, helping to keep used plastics out of landfills and cutting the carbon footprint of the tumbler in half!

There’s no skimping on performance, either. Made Greener Tumblers are double-walled to help keep hot beverages hot and cold drinks cold. They fit into a standard car cup holder and come with spill-resistant flip-top lids.

We’re proud to feature our new Siren logo on these tumblers, and proud to offer you a reusable tumbler that you can feel good about. Pick one up at StarbucksStore.com or at your local Starbucks Store.

We know that keeping manufacturing in the United States is important to you, and continue to seek ways to make that happen. Be on the lookout for additional products made in the United States coming soon!

I like that you guys are starting to manufacture tumblers in the US however I do not like the design of this tumbler for a few reasons. For starters the lid is designed poorly. It's hard to drink from while you're on the go and the flip top part bumps into your nose. This tumbler also doesn't keep my drink warm nearly as long as my stainless steel tumbler. The last thing I dislike is how tall it is. The stirrer sticks can't reach all the way down to the bottom.

I didn't see you mention if they are BPA free, so are they?

thanks

Any plans to make a stainless steel version?  I'd like to support a made-in-America project like this, but plastic mugs just don't hold heat well enough.  (And I have too many mugs as it is, so I can't be buying something that I know I won't use.)

Sorry Starbucks, these new tumblers do not hold heat well and one developed internal condensation after 1-day. I also agree that the lid design is poor, I have to use a straw because it is so hard to drink without it. Good thing I saved my receipts, these were the first items I have ever returned to Starbucks.

OMG... a made-in-the-usa TUMBLER! I will go and look at it TODAY !!! In reading the comments I see that it has a few design issues, but I am sure these problems will be solved (at least I hope so) on FUTURE made-in-the-USA products.

For those of us who have long-wanted to support our fellow employees in the manufacturing sector here in the USA... all I can say to Starbucks... is...

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU!!!

Can we also have a made-in-the-USA, 16oz (and/or 18oz, and/or 20oz) "CityMUGs or a USA CountryMUG"... ?

I'd put Holiday candy in them and give them as gifts during the holidays...

Also, I'd bring them as Souvenirs (from the USA) when traveling overseas...

They are the PERFECT gift for MANY occaisions!!!

Thank you Starbucks for listening to us. I was very excited when I saw the new Made in the USA cups.

But like the others I much prefer stainless steel or glass. Keep up the good work & please give us some more choices!

PS. if your going with plastic, why not team up with Tervis they do make one awesome double walled plastic cup that is well worth buying.

Keep it up!  And yes, stainless steel and ceramic.  Also, why not start selling American Made "thermos" type containers (I can't find one anywhere).

the absolute best mug you ever made was the concord. i lived on a farm and could put my concord mug on the fence and come back hours later and it was still HOT. please find a way to make a quality, double walled stainless steel mug like the concord in AMERICA.

the plastic ones are crap and don't hold heat and the lids are terrible. please make something worthy of the USA label.
