Starbucks Coffee

Are these going to be available everywhere in the US, or only in certain parts?  I've been looking at my local stores, but I've not found any yet.  So I was wondering if I could expect them to turn up eventually.  I'd really like to try these.  =)

@sbx_bean - Thanks.  Unfortunately, there aren't any company owned stores where I live.  I figured I'd need to get them at the grocery store.  (Unless the licensed stores carry them, also.)  Anybody spotted them in a Krogers yet?  =)

@SnoWhite79 -- I really do not understand why Starbucks is not making the ingredient and nutrition information available online.

I looked at the Raspberry Pomegranate in the Starbucks today and the sweetener is one of the alcohol sugars (name ends in "ol").

It could be that the Refreshers are being made by different manufacturers so the ingredients and nutrition will vary.

I just finished an Orange Melon Refresher, and the artificial sweetener, erythritol, was obvious right away. Yuck! I am wondering if the Raspberry Pomegranate does not have artificial sweetener, or if it is just not as obvious. I do not like artificial sweeteners, and think that it should say in larger print, on the front of the can, artificial sweeteners. I am guessing now, that the fact that their are only 60 calories per can, means that they all may be sweetened artificially. That is good, and bad. I got them on sale at a grocery store at two for $3.00. There is no was that I would pay three bucks for a 12 ounce can of artificially sweetened fruit drink, so that is the good part, I am not wasting more money. The bad part is.... Oh, there is no bad part!

I just tried the Orange Melon and thought it was definitely refreshing. A light acidic mouth feel along with a background hint of the melon that then takes over and stays on your taste buds. I did not find the sweetener over-powering like Itzmeeya^^. I purchased it at a Publix Supermarket in Florida. These are the easily the best retail drinks you have other than the original doubleshot.  The "energy drink" doubleshots are, in my opinion, terrible.  High sugar, artificial, and undrinkable.

I am still unclear on how much caffeine is in these drinks, and also would like to know for certain if they are artificially sweetened.

What are the possible health concerns associated with the new refreshers? I am looking for coffee alternatives but energy drinks have a bad reputation for being harmful... Can provide me with more information? Thanks.

Hi, I'd like the nutritional info as well. I'm diabetic and need to know how much carb and sugar are in the new drinks. I wish I could drink them but I'm afraid the carb levels will be too high. Maybe you can make a couple of these drinks with lower levels of carbs for those of us who are diabetic. I think there would be a market for that and those who are into healthier, less sugary drinks drinks with less calories would probably be interested as well.

Hi I was wondering about the natural energy from the refresheres. If you drink a venti will you get the jittery feeling you would get if you drank a venti coffee? I don't want to feel jittery nor want my heart to race. Please let me know. Id love to try this.

I asked for the name of the sweetener in what will be prepared as the "Refresher" drinks. Reading the box, the barista quoted " Nutritive and Non-nutritive sweeteners".

Why not add a little extra to it...like some vitamins? Even a small amount is better than nothing! Another almost on the part of Starbucks in my opinion. A missed opportunity to finally have something more on the 'good for you' end of the spectrum.

Got my free refresher today @ Starbucks!  Tasty drinks!  However, a little while later I felt shakey & not well.  Two of my friends said they had the same reaction. Any one else have similar reaction?

I think these Refreshers with green coffee extract are absolutely great in the grand scheme of things. Anytime there is a move towards more natural products for energy instead of so heavily relying on caffeine for energy throughout the day is a good thing. By going green and getting more raw with the pure extract of unroasted green coffee beans/seeds, I think Starbucks Refreshers fit the profile of being a great advancement in such a global commodity, both coffee and natural energy drinks now. It is even interesting to start reading about all of the alleged health benefits of green coffee like http://greencoffee.org has.

What happens to the green coffee bean after the extraction process? Can it still be roasted and sold as decaf coffee?

It is very clear that a lot of us are conscious of what we put in our bodies these days.  (Like other posters) I would like to know the calorie count on these and nutritional values.  How are they sweetened.

The nutritional disclosures, although revealing of caffeine amount, do not state how many milligrams of green coffee extract are in the drink. This is important to those of us seeking the health benefits.

This might be marketing genius, I understand you want to compete with Red Bull, but this is an intentionally addictive unhealthy entrant. I notice you conceal the nutrition info on the web announcement. I read the ingredients on the package in the store, and was offended at your ruse and angry that Starbucks has decided to become yet another deceptive panderer to America's sugar addiction, aggravating the diabesity epidemic.

Please continue to transition your "lite" drinks to Stevia options.  I cannot have any of the artificial sweetners ever (the act like a poison in my body), but the Stevia is OK since it is plant based and all natural.  I have heard that the Refresher in packets use Stevia, but not the Refreshers made in the stores - too bad.  

Also, please have at least one syrup for the coffe drinks that is made with Stevia.  (Although all the flavors with Stevia as a sweetner would be wonderful).  

well, i tried the lime flavored refresher an hour ago and thank god i got the sample instead of purchasing the entire box (because i trusted starbucks & it looks really good)! i took 1 sip and had an asthma attack within seconds of swallowing this!!! my lungs closed up immediately. why aren't there any nutritional/contents material available for these drinks? i know better next time not to be so trusting but really guys, i think it's really important to list ingredients on labels especially samples. Hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, please use caution!

How many mg of green coffee bean extract are in the Via Refreshers? I take 800mg as a diet suppressant for weight loss. I want to make sure I'm not getting too much if I add a Via beverage every day.

Just discovered Refreshers at the drive thru!  But I can't find the information that says how many mg of Green Bean Extract is in each serving?  Can anyone tell me?

I am not a coffee drinker (never touched a cup) but love green tea and Red Bull. I tried the new refreshers and loved the Raspberry Pom and the Strawberry Lemonade. I am with the others here that do not want any sugar so a sugar-free version would be nice. I am curious as to the equivalent of caffeine. After finishing just half a can, I felt like I had the equivalent of 3 Red Bull. This may be a money saver but how much caffeine is in the Green Bean Extract? I am looking for an extra boost of energy, not a heart attack.

I've been IN LOVE with the cool lime and very berry hibiscus refreshers for the past couple months now......I was curious to find out what the actual ingredients in them were but found the nutritional info to not be available. I found that weird, especially since several baristas have said there are only 60 calories in a grande, are low in sugar and have Green coffee bean extract in them?

I was able to look at the ingredients in the actual container they use to make the very berry refresher and saw the ingredients: water, sugar, white grape juice, green coffee FLAVOUR, and antioxidants (vitamin C).

So I'm a little confused, all of the marketing material about the refreshers says its made with green coffee EXTRACT and has caffeine in it - but how much caffeine? And can you explain why the package says FLAVOUR and not EXTRACT?

These are amazing, i am addicted to the strawberry lemonade ones. the nutritional info is all over the internet , i have lost alot of weight now that i have switched to drinking them and it is nothing terrible like an energy drink. i get one at wallgreens every day.

I have never liked the taste of coffee, so don't drink it, so I don't know how I would react to caffeine normally, but I had two little trial size cups (maybe an ounce in each?) of these and was buzzed all afternoon, evening and night! It may have been from something else, but that was the only thing I could recall ding different. I will stick to my almond steamers!

It would be nice if Starbucks would post on the website what the ingredients are for the Via Refresher drinks.

I lost 5 pounds in 2 days, drinking the green coffee extract, at Starbucks.
