New Starbucks Cards in New Cities

Hi all -

You know the Starbucks Cards that feature adorable nods to the cities they represent? Well, I’m excited to announce that our latest round of tourist series cards are here!

Our New York, San Francisco and Florida cards all got a style refresh, and new to the line-up, we’re excited to offer the first cards for Texas, San Diego, Washington, D.C and Los Angelas (LA happens to be the team’s favorite design this year).

Visiting any of these places? When you do, stop by a Starbucks store and pick up one of these special souvenirs. And stay tuned, because in July we plan to launch more tourist series cards for more places! In the meantime, happy traveling!

I have one of each card, I would be happy to send out to anyone who's interested.  Let me know what tourist card you would like by leaving a comment on this post.  First come, first served.

My friends recently got the Los Angeles card because they liked the design and I saw the San Francisco one a week or two ago but didn't get a chance to get it. Definitely will snatch one the next time I come across it. I was wondering if I could get the Texas one to start off my collection though? I really like the design!

I just got back from Orlando but didn't get the chance to pick one up, can I please have a Florida card?  Thanks!

I'd love one!  I would like the New York card as I, sadly, forgot to pick up a souvenir last time I was there.  The Texas one looks awesome, but I live in Texas, so finding one shouldn't be an issue. :)

Thanks, Starbucks!

I love the San Francisco card! It's my boyfriend's hometown & a place I love to visit ... but I won't get to visit again for a while. I'd love to have that one. Plus the houses remind me of Full House hahah.

Congrats to those who got the cards!  The Los Angeles card has such beautiful colors and the I love the Florida flip flops!

Let's hope that the next card issued to celebrate Canada is also printed in BOTH English, and French.  (the last one for Canada Day 2003 was only in English!)

And while we're on the topic of Canada, why is so difficult to get a GOLD CARD in both English, and French?  All the other members of my family (living in Canada) have most recently (within the past month) received their gold cards, solely printed in English!  I know these bi-lingual English/French gold cards exist, as I have seen them.  There just doesn't seem to be any mechanism at starbucks.ca to request one.

If there are still any left, I'd be flattered to get a Washington D.C. one - it is very pretty! Thanks!

I am from Toronto, Canada and recently visted San Fran and Los Angeles.  I was able to find the San Fran card, but searched all locations in Venice Beach and Hollywood Blvd. in LA and could not find one. Any chance of getting one.  I cannot wait to see the Canada one.  Just an idea - would it not be practical to carry the "City" cards at the airport locations.  None of the airport locations in US carry the Starbucks cards and neither do the Starbucks in the Supermarkets such as Safeway.  It would benefit the tourist who collects these cards and they make excellent gifts as they do not take up any space and are not breakable like the glass coffee mugs.

sbx_bean, will it be Montreal or Vancouver?

I have the Vancouver one from a couple of years ago but have never seen a Montreal card (I live here)

Can you please have the new card be Montreal?

Or is it going to be a generic Canada one?

I also visited San Diego, CA a couple of months ago and none of the locations I visited had the SD card. Too bad, but I may try my hand at winning one on eBay.

Well Starbucks, just about as stupid as Starbucks was when they sent stickers for Starbucks exclusive Le Mélange Mont-Royal Blend, printed ONLY in English- you still just don't get it.  Québec is part of Canada.  However, on the 23rd. of Nov. 2006, Canada officially recognized Quebec as a nation within Canada, showing that Quebec is different from the rest of this great country.  As such, as sad it is, I wouldn't be surprised to see many of these CANADA tourist cards unceremoniously dumped in the trash, where many of their earlier english only cards have also wound up!  I have stood in a store in downtown Montréal, looking for a specific gift card, and when the barista opened the drawer to look, they pulled out some boxes, one of which contained gift cards printed in ENGLISH ONLY.  The barista, without missing a beat, closed the full boxed, turned around, and dropped it into the garbage!  And that Starbucks is the reality that clearly is not understood.  Québec may be located within Canada, but that certainly does not resonate in the political reality that is the Québec of today.

We just had 2 friends from the UK for a visit and we went to Wash. D.C.  We hit Starbucks several times a day while there and never found the new DC card.  I wanted to get them one as a reminder of their visit here.  Is there anyway to order one online?

I agree with some older threads re: the cards......  the coasts seem to get the most attention and while I was THRILLED to get the Chicago (totally BEST designed one) last yr, there are requests for more of the 'midwest'.  Chicago is definitely considered the midwest but I know what they mean....a little more 'heartland'....like Kansas City.....beautiful city and pretty much in the middle of the country.  would like to see one from KC, plus I have wonderful memories of living there for some yrs after college:  BIG sky, great homes, great restaurants and stores...not to mention the museums and galleries....  The architecture from the Plaza area alone is world-famous.  So, KC is my hope!

Oh...did you give away Texas yet?  My daughter went there last year, before there was a card...  =(  I just came back from LA and was able to find the LA cards after many, many, many attempts!  They're so hard to find!  Keep them coming!  I love them ALL!

Lillywhite does NOT speak for all Canadians.  Sure, Canada is bilingual, but that does not affect corporate culture, just governmental culture.

On behalf of the 75% of Canadians who are NOT francophone, please accept my apologies for this embarrassing outrage.  For crying out loud, if they did not want to have your company in their area of Canada, they would not frequent your stores.  And yet, they do.

I just picked up the 2012 version of the Hawai'i card. When I attach it to my online profile, there is no image for the card, as there is for the other cards in my profile. Is anyone else experiencing this issue, with this card or another, and is there a way to fix it? The card is otherwise functioning and I used it on my phone for a purchase today without a problem. It's just nice to see the card image, you know? Thanks in advance for your comments/solutions.

Love the idea of getting cards from the different places that we love to visit.  My card from Hawaii always gets a conversation going.  I also had one from New York that brought back memories but I have lost it.  Would it be possible to get the Victorian Sister houses of San Francisco and the New York building cards.  I love this idea and think it would also promote more people to stop at Starbucks instead of your competitors! Look forward to hearing from you on this!

Hello sbx_mmcn.  I was at a dinner party last night and a friend that I haven't seen in years said he collected Starbucks cards.  Let me tell you what a conversation we had with all the guests.  I was is Maui - Hawaii in October and I was able to pick up one card. This card is like gold as I had to go back 3 times and finally I got one. (They were out of stock).  Needless to say I gave my Hawaiian card to my friend.  Any possibility of getting any one or all of your cards?  Much appreciated!
