Here At Last! Starbucks K-Cup® Packs Available in Our Retail Stores

Many of you have been asking us to make Starbucks® K-Cup® packs available for purchase in our stores. I can relate!  Keurig® K-Cup® Single Cup Brewers make a perfect cup of Starbucks® coffee or Tazo® tea in less than a minute, something I count on to make my mornings go just a little smoother.

Lucky for us, beginning June 12, most Starbucks Stores in the U.S. will carry two varieties of K-Cup® packs:  Pike Place® Roast and Sumatra. And on July 10, more options will be added, like Starbucks Veranda Blend™, Caffè Verona® and two Tazo® tea options. That same day, Starbucks® K-Cup® packs will hit the shelves in Starbucks stores in Canada as well!

So stock up on your morning supplies when you purchase your afternoon latte.  Like all purchases with your registered Starbucks Card you will earn a star for your My Starbucks Rewards account with every Starbucks® K-Cup® pack purchase. How convenient is that!

The Keurig coffee machine is too expensive for us who live on a fixed income.  I still would like to taste your different coffees in my house.  I still like my idea of selling a selection of 1.6 oz of Starbucks coffee bags so we can taste all your coffees without having to buy the pound of coffee.

I'm a big Starbucks fan and I love you guys, but seriously... it turned my stomache the first time I saw a Starbucks label on a box of K-cups in the grocery store. These things are an environmental nightmare. Estimates are that one cup of coffee from a K-cup uses EIGHTEEN TIMES the resources as a single cup of coffee made by other means (single-cup pour-over, coffee maching, percolator, french press, etc.)

Starbucks also announced front-of-store recycling by 2015. Why sell something as destructive as K-cups and their machines and then put resources into recycling when the K-cups ARE NOT RECYCLEABLE? Can we finally have a frank, straightforward conversation about purposefully engaging in selling environmentally destructive product? Does the average K-cup user know the facts about how environmentally greedly those little conveniences are?

I dare Starbucks to publish accurate information and statistics about K-cups to customers!

A lot of us enjoy your decaffienated coffees, but it would be so nice to find even one variety in K-cup form.  I bet there would be a "run" on them if they were made available, especially in the Starbucks stores.

@Twisted Sister - your idea for a decaf K-cup option is currently being reviewed by the team.  We should have an update to share later this year.

Check this out... Cafejo's My French-Press brews K-Cups. This is a great way to let people enjoy the convenience and quality of your Starbucks Coffee K-Cups without buying an expensive Keurig maching.
