Namaste! It is with great excitement that I announce our first Starbucks store opening in India this October. As we have prepared for the opening over the past year, our vision has been to open our doors in a way that honors our coffee heritage, conveys our deep respect for Indian culture and reinforces our optimistic view of the bright future of the country.
Prior to our flagship store opening, the month of October will begin with an exciting community event in the city of Mumbai, followed by engaging customer and store opening celebrations that will give customers their first taste of our signature Starbucks® Espresso Roast coffee, grown and roasted in India.
This is much more than the opening of a store. It is the launch of the Starbucks Experience in India providing uplifting moments, supporting the local community and serving exquisite coffee in India – one cup at a time.
