Coffee Creativity - Mocha Cookies!
One of the joys of having a site like MyStarbucksIdea.com is that we’re constantly getting submissions for new ideas from our most creative customers. We love hearing about what you’d like to see in our stores but it’s also fun to hear how you use our products in new and delicious ways! Case in point, this recipe we recently found for some Mocha Cookies using our seasonal coffee, Guatemala Casi Cielo® coffee. Guatemala Casi Cielo® is one of our customer’s favorite coffees so it was only a matter of time until someone put the coffee inside the cookie instead of alongside it. Ingredients 8 oz unsalted butter, softened 1½ cups packed dark brown sugar ½ … more »
Starbucks Evenings at the Airport
Are you flying into Dulles Airport outside Washington, D.C. in the near future? If so, check out our latest Starbucks Evenings store! Your airport store ideas have inspired us to share this post with you. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Starbucks Evenings concept, it is a store with an evening-focused menu that includes small plate food items and thoughtfully selected wine and beer. We’ve been testing this concept in stores in the Northwest, Chicago and Atlanta, but this is the first one to open on the East Coast – and the first to open in an airport! Some of my favorite aspects of the store are in the décor. We have two walls in the café that are … more »
For You Strawberry Lovers Out There
It seems that a lot of you on My Starbucks Idea really like strawberries. We’ve seen ideas for Strawberry Lemonade, Strawberry Frappuccino® blended beverages and Strawberry Green Tea. Well, we think you berry believers will like this: Strawberry Lemonade Starbucks VIA Refreshers™ instant beverages. Sweet strawberry and tart lemonade with notes of lavender and a boost of natural energy from green coffee extract. We sent a preview of this product to some of the MSI members who voted on or shared similar ideas. Here’s the feedback we received… betterbefore : “This is by far the best Refresher yet. I love the lemonade with just the hint of strawberry. For me, this … more »
We’re Trying Caramel Flan Latte
Every now and then we hear ideas about new flavors for drinks , such as this one . Well, great minds think alike. We’re trying a new Caramel Flan Latte for a limited time in participating stores in San Diego, Milwaukee and Columbus . In Mexico, caramel flan is a very traditional dessert; every family has its own recipe. To create our version, we took inspiration from the idea of a vanilla-infused custard with a sweet caramel top layer – then we reinvented the experience for all you latte lovers out there. Our Caramel Flan Latte combines our signature Espresso Roast, freshly steamed milk and rich flan syrup. It’s topped with a caramel whipped cream (yum!) and a soft layer of … more »
A Match Made in “Almost Heaven”
Two things we hear a lot from you coffee-lovers: you love Guatemala Casi Cielo® and you’d like to see more Keurig® K-Cup® options . Put those two together and you have a match made in heaven – or, more accurately, “almost heaven,” which is what casi cielo means in Spanish. Now you can find Guatemala Casi Cielo in K-cup packs at your local Starbucks. So far, the MSI community likes the idea . Guatemala Casi Cielo is a very elegant coffee, with a floral aroma, lemony acidity and finishes of dark cocoa. It’s well-balanced, so it goes well with a wide variety of foods – serve it with fresh herb-infused foods, artisan cheeses, citrus fruits, nuts or … more »
A New Panini with Whole Grains
Last November, MSI community member Betsy12345 asked for a Panini on whole wheat bread . At the time, I couldn’t say anything more other than we were looking at some flavors … but now I can say: Betsy, your idea is a reality! Our new Turkey Rustico Panini blends turkey, smoked Swiss cheese and baby kale with a caramelized onion Dijon jam adding a delicious burst of flavor. These ingredients are sandwiched between a whole-grain focaccia topped with a blend of poppy seeds, amaranth and sesame seeds. Seriously yummy! You can enjoy this new panini at our stores that offer warmed food. Give it a try and let us know what you think!
