We're Bringing Some Sparkle to Austin & Atlanta

We know that you love your coffee and tea—but we’ve also heard that you’d love to see some sparkling beverages on the menu. For those of you in Austin and Atlanta, we’re testing something new.

This summer at participating stores, we’re introducing a mouthwatering selection of Handcrafted Sodas. Our new lineup is a delicious take on classic soda flavors: Golden Ginger Ale, Lemon Ale and Spiced Root Beer. Each bubbly, ice-cold beverage is made fresh with natural ingredients (no preservatives or artificial flavors) and handcrafted to order. We’re also offering sparkling versions of our handcrafted Starbucks Refreshers™ Beverages and Shaken Iced Teas. You can even ask your barista to adjust the level of carbonation for you, depending on how much sparkle you prefer. How cool is that?

If you’re living in Atlanta or Austin, or happen to be visiting, I hope you can experience one of these refreshing, fizzy concoctions. And if you do, let us know what you think!

Though I'm not a huge fan of carbonated drinks (reminds me of cheap soda), if this is a hit, bring it everywhere!

This is great I am in the metro ATL area and love all the carbonated Refreshers and the Ginger Ale and Lemon Ale too.

Have to try the Root Beer just yet.

I love the idea of making the flavors nostalgic and just a little unconventional. I'm in Pennsylvania, I hope we get the chance to try them too.

My barista recommended adding raspberry syrup to my ginger ale, she was a very smart lady. #loveit

I'm in Austin and these drinks are delicious (love the ginger ale with a pump of Raspberry!), but the machines used seem pretty unreliable.  I have had to wait >10 minutes for the machine to carbonate it correctly.  The drinks are somewhat inconsistent and the baristas do not seem comfortable with the machine either.  Would love to see these continue as a drink option though.
