We are happy to announce our new Designer Mini Starbucks Card. This limited edition Starbucks Card is a collaboration with fashion designer, Christian Siriano, winner of Project Runway Season 4. The Card’s design is inspired by mod style, contemporary drama and Christian’s love of theatrical fantasy. Available in stores this holiday season, the Christian Siriano Mini Starbucks Card is sure to be a great holiday gift!

Also, remember to register the Card to unlock the benefits of Starbucks Rewards* including balance protection, free select syrups and soy milk, free refills on brewed coffee, up to two consecutive hours of free AT&T Wi-Fi and a free beverage on your birthday!

Hi there- tomorrow is a BIG day for us. We will announce the launch of the newest idea from MyStarbucksIdea! The idea is so BIG but also so small at the same time. Confused? Make sure to read the blog tomorrow to see what we’re launching.

To kick off the BIG announcement, we are going to give away one of these BIG (yet mini) items to the person who sends us the best picture of something mini. Starbucks Value at Your Local Grocery Store

Hi there. This is Jill from the Consumer Products Group (CPG). My team works on the products that you see in the grocery store. Many of you have been posting ideas around value at Starbucks and the CPG folks want to let you know that we’re listening!

Beginning on May 11, we will launch the first ever Starbucks grocery coupon booklet. Baristas at participating local Starbucks will be passing out these coupon booklets ($6 savings) that can be used where you buy groceries.

The coupon booklet features the following items:

New Starbucks® Ice Cream - $1.00 off
Bottled Frappuccino® beverages - $2.00 off 4 pack
Starbucks Doubleshot® espresso drink - $2.00 off 4-pack
Packaged Coffee in Grocery $1.00 off (10oz & 12oz)

There is a limited quantity so be sure you visit your local Starbucks starting on May 11 and pick up a booklet while supplies last (limit one per customer).

Poll Results: Which Cup do you Use at Starbucks?

Reusable cups, recycling, and for-here cups have been popular at My Starbucks Idea. Many customers and partners have told us they would like recycling available at Starbucks. We’re working on it. Currently 70% of our stores where we control waste pick-up are recycling. We continue to look for ways to make this happen in more of our locations. We’ve also set a goal – by 2015 100% of our cups will be reusable or recyclable. Visit www.starbucks.com/sharedplanet to learn more.

Recently I asked the MSI community what kind of cup do you use at Starbucks? Here are the results:

At Starbucks I use...

The Starbucks Cup - 64%

Did you know that Starbucks helped pioneer the industry’s first hot beverage cup with 10 percent post-consumer fiber (PCF)? Since adding the new PCF cups to stores in the U.S. and Canada in 2006, we’ve saved more than 44,000 tons of virgin wood fiber, the equivalent of more than 300,000 trees. These cups are recyclable in some cities, like Seattle, and compostable in others, like San Francisco.

For-here Cups – 12%

Starbucks company-operated stores offer "for here" cups. We have porcelain and glassware available for all sizes. Just ask your barista if you would like your drink "for here".

Reusable Tumblers – 24%

We also offer reusable tumblers for sale in all sizes. Pick the one that is right for you. If you enjoy cold beverages starting next month the popular reusable cold cup will be available in the Grande (16 oz.) size and new this year a Venti (20 oz. tumbler) will be available. We also currently have reusable tumblers with post-consumer recycled content in all sizes from Short to Venti!

Some of you have let us know that the cup discount isn't communicated very well. We have now added it back to the menu board in company-owned stores and currently on our home page at Starbucks.com we have a great video to help get the word out. One way you can help with reducing the amount of paper or plastic cups used is to use a reusable cup and when you bring your own, we'll give you 10 cents off at company-owned stores.(Please visit the site to view this media)
