Idea Launched: Improve MSI Inbox

Hi there,

Welcome to My Starbucks Idea! You may have noticed we have a new look. Please tell us how you like the refreshed website. With the site refresh, we also launched one of your ideas – improve the inbox. The inbox has three components: comments, my ideas, and my comments. Within each of these tabs you can now filter by date settings ranging from today to last month as well as “all” and “unread”. You can also filter by ideas category.

The work hasn’t stopped. We’re continuing to make improvements on the site functionality, so don’t be shy, tell us your wish list for the website and as always we’d love to hear all your ideas for Starbucks too. We’re still here with the same purpose to listen to you and generate ideas to shape and improve your Starbucks Experience. Keep the ideas coming!

"Report Abuse" feature - now live on MSI

Hi there,

I wanted to share with you a site feature that just launched - Report Abuse! So far, the community has done a good job of staying focused primarily on ideas, but from time to time some get a little off track. We have now provided an MSI abuse reporting function on each idea. Once logged in simply click on the link under the idea and it is flagged to the MSI moderators. If you see some unacceptable language, spam, something is miscatgorized - it is now easier to let us know!

Thanks for your help in keeping us focused on generating ideas!

Last week, we launched our new Starbucks Card website providing all of our Card holders with a new and improved experience when managing their Starbucks Cards online. This new site is both simpler and faster. It features a virtual Card wallet that gives you a single destination to manage all of your Starbucks Cards, Starbucks Gold Card and Starbucks Card Duetto® Visa®.

Here are some of the new features you can enjoy on the site:

Transfer multiple Card balances onto one Card
Report Cards as lost or stolen and reorder new Cards online.
Add your friends and family members’ Cards to your account and set up a one-time or auto-reload amount as a gift.
Register your card to benefit from everyday rewards.
View your transaction history for up to 30 days.

We’re really excited about the new site, and invite you to check it out . And, be sure to tell us what you think.

Tell us your Idea…in 12 seconds!

We know you have a lot of great ideas for Starbucks. But, can you share your idea in just 12 seconds? That is exactly what we asked our shareholders to do at this year’s Annual Meeting.

Each year, Starbucks invites shareholders to attend the Annual Shareholders Meeting in Seattle. This year we gathered on March 18 and the MyStarbucksIdea team greeted and talked with shareholders, showed them the MyStarbucksIdea website, and listened to their ideas for Starbucks.

We met many people and had great discussions around coffee, community, value, food, and healthy options at Starbucks. While waiting for the doors to open, shareholders shared their ideas for Starbucks on this website as well as on video! There was one fun twist to the video submissions though; customers had to tell us their idea for Starbucks in just 12 seconds! Check out some of the 12 second ideas we captured below and if you want to create your own or respond to one of the existing ideas, please do so on the Starbucks Channel on 12seconds.tv. But remember, just 12 seconds. Have fun!

We are pleased to announce that “voting down an idea” has launched. Now you can vote either way – thumbs up, you like the idea or thumbs down, not fond of the idea.

I have a feeling the site is going to get even more interesting now. Remember you only get one vote per idea. Will it be up or down?

MSI Unavailable Friday Evening

My Starbucks Idea will be unavailable Friday, October 10th starting at 8 pm PDT for routine maintenance and upgrades. One benefit of this site maintenance is we should see faster load times as you are cruising through the site - sharing your ideas, voting, commenting, and then checking the Ideas in Action section of the site.

Come back on Saturday, the site should be rarin’ to go. We look forward to your ideas. Keep them coming.
