There’s been a lot of chatter about treat receipt here at MyStarbucksIdea.com. Some ideas have mentioned that you would like to see it more often. Well this spring, in the spirit of refreshment for those warmer weather states that already feel like summer, we’re offering a Refreshers Receipt, featuring Starbucks Refreshers™ beverages available in Very Berry Hibiscus or Cool Lime. These delicious, lightly caffeinated beverages are made with real fruit juice and whole blackberries or lime slices – perfect as an afternoon pick-me-up.

During the month of April, if you are in Texas, central and southern California, Georgia, New Mexico, Hawaii, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Oklahoma, Virginia, Mississippi, Florida, Arizona, or Las Vegas, bring in your same day morning Starbucks receipt to a participating store after 12 pm and enjoy a Grande (16 fl. oz.) hand-shaken Starbucks Refreshers™ beverage for $2 (plus tax where applicable) before the expiration date.

A New Way to Pay with Your Mobile Phone

Paying with your phone makes your life a bit easier, and now there's one more way to do that at Starbucks!

You may already be familiar with the Starbucks app, which lets you use your Starbucks Card to pay with your phone and members of My Starbucks Rewards™ program can earn Stars toward free drinks and food. But if you'd rather use your credit or debit card to pay at Starbucks, now you can give Square Wallet a try starting today.

Just download the Square Wallet app, create an account with your credit or debit card, tap on "Starbucks" in the Square directory, and scan the barcode to pay at a participating U.S. store.

Square Wallet will even keep track of your digital receipts. It's like having a wallet on your phone! And Square Wallet connects you to other local businesses and helps you find great deals. Starbucks and Square are making it easier for you to pay with your phone at many of your favorite places.

Starbucks Card for Passbook in Canada and the UK

Race you to the App Store! We’re thrilled to announce support for Passbook in Canada and the UK with our most recent Starbucks app update.

If you’re a My Starbucks Rewards™ member, you’re probably already familiar with mobile payment, tracking your My Starbucks Rewards™ account and the additional features our app provides. Now, as you’ve been asking, you can now use our app to add your Starbucks Card to Passbook.

If you’re looking to get connected, Passbook is preinstalled within Apple's iOS 6 operating system. Make sure you have our most recent Starbucks app update (v2.5), then simply open your Starbucks app on your iOS 6-enabled device and tap “Add Card to Passbook,” found within the "Manage" menu on the main screen of the “Cards” tab.

Digital Rewards are Here

Roll out the red carpet and shine up those Gold Cards. Digital My Starbucks Rewards™ are here!

One of the most popular requests on My Starbucks Idea has been for digital rewards. We want to say “thank you” for this awesome idea and the continued conversation, because starting today your rewards will be loaded directly on your registered Starbucks Card or mobile app.

How exactly will digital rewards work, you ask? Well, instead of receiving those snail mail postcards, once you have earned your free reward an email will notify you of your reward.

After that, it's a simple process:
1. Visit any participating company-operated Starbucks.
2. Tell the barista you have a free reward that you want to use.
3. Present your registered Starbucks Card or scan your Starbucks app.

And voilà, your qualifying drink or food item on your transaction will be free. That’s right – you can now use your “free reward” on food, too.

Please make sure you update your account with your most current email address so we can email you when you have a digital reward available. And check out the FAQs if you have more questions!

For as long as MyStarbucksIdea has been around, you have suggested we find ways to reduce cup waste and encourage more people to bring in their own reusable cups. Starting today in the Pacific Northwest, I am happy to announce we have another way of doing just that.

Introducing the new, reusable (and recyclable) Starbucks® cup for hot beverages.

While we’ve sold reusable mugs and tumblers for years, what makes this new reusable cup exciting is that it’s yours for only $1. It’s a quality, low-cost option to enjoy your favorite Starbucks® beverage. And since you receive a 10 cent discount each time you use it in stores, it pays for itself in just ten uses - and then factor in the fact you have saved ten paper cups. If you use it for a month, you will help avoid using more than a pound of paper, or 3.5 lbs of wood. Plus, at the end of its life, if polypropylene (#5) plastic recycling is available in your region, you can recycle this cup and truly minimize your impact on the planet!

Starbucks is committed to reducing our cup waste. We have both recycling goals and a goal to serve 5% of the beverages made in our company-owned stores in personal tumblers by 2015. By offering this low cost, reusable cup option and continuing to provide our 10 cent discount, we are hoping to inspire many of you to bring your own cup.
