I hate I missed the oppoturnity to vote. It is a shame that I am a Public Ally and I didn't help in the contribution to make Public Allies a strong more sustainable non profit.

I understand Steve 2 and Melody's comments. I have several charities that are dear to my heart and deserve whatever they can get. However, I think there are over a million registered non-profits in the United States alone. I would bet there are people who feel the same way about all of them too and I bet this was a hard decision for the good people at Starbucks. So, as Melody said, this is a great idea and I am gald that the place where I buy coffee is doing something to help out in these tough time.

I agree with Melody that this is a great idea but with so many good charities out there why limit it to three? My charity, for example, that I volunteer with and have for the past 20 years, is http://www.ForgottenChildrensFund.org
