These things are an environmental nightmare. Estimates are that one cup of coffee from a K-cup uses EIGHTEEN TIMES the resources as a single cup of coffee made by other means (single-cup pour-over, coffee maching, percolator, french press, etc.)

Starbucks also announced front-of-store recycling by 2015. Why sell something as destructive as K-cups and their machines and then put resources into recycling when the K-cups ARE NOT RECYCLEABLE? Can we finally have a frank, straightforward conversation about purposefully engaging in selling environmentally destructive product? Does the average K-cup user know the facts about how environmentally greedly those little conveniences are?

I dare Starbucks to publish accurate information and statistics about K-cups to customers!
